PLATFORM AREA: 200.00M2
CLIENT: "HS MARBLES" Owner Of Marble Quarries
The project is about the creation of a pavilion for the yearly international marble exhibition "Marmomacc" in Verona Italy.
The starting line of the design was the unique whiteness of the marble "Volaka", which was expressed with minimalistic lines, with the absolute of the white and the contrast between white-black.
The place was formed in two parts, of 100.00m2 each.
The roofed part was used as a meeting place and the open area on the right side was used as the main exhibition place for the marble volumes.
The roofed place, a light metallic structure was designed of two white optically independent cubic structures (4.00/ 10.00/4.00m) shaped in Π formation.
The floor is of "Volaka" stone of 60/1.20m.
The main free exhibition space is made of black wooden floor whith 0.5m strips and marble fragments placed perimetrically.
The whole structure is traversed both vertically and horizontally by two black panels of 17.4m and 9.5m with height of 2m to better highlight the marbles.
The marbles exhibits emerge from the openings in the floor which are surrounded and filled with marble fragments.
The interior is furnished in the black and white trend of the pavilion apart from a red bar. This project received the international prize of "Best communicator awards" in the Design category of the exhibition:
" For the integration of the project in the exhibition area, for the choice of materials and the high aesthetic of the expressions of the forms", according to the Judges Panel.
