This project is about the design of four independent two-storey cottages, for tourism development, built on a slopping plot of 1.800 m2.
Special attention was given,
- in the integration of the cottages in relationship with the scale of the settlement
- in the adaptation of traditional architecture, consist of small scale houses of fragmented volumes and flat roofs without tile.
- in the conservation and care of the huge centuries old olive groves surrounding the plot.
The existing slopes were used to adapt the buildings in the area, for better orientation and unobstructed view of the sea.
Morphologically the local traditional stone was chosen for building,in combination with elements of concrete , glass parapets, windows and layout of flats or monorail concrete roofs designed in a contemporary way.
Each residence has an area of 85.000 m2- 105.000 m2, independent entrance, private courtyards, roofed and open air yards , pool and parking.
