Area of Plot: 1121,00 m2
Building Area: 5.000 m2
Client: "Ark of the World"
The reconstruction of a former industrial building into a building used for "Special Care for Mother and Child ".
It includes administration services, dining room, kindergarten, learning auxiliary rooms, accommodation and conference room for 150 people.
The minimal rectangular shape characterizes the morphological aspects of the building.
The reference to the concept of the “Ark”, together with the need of a warm, friendly environment led to the design of a vertical cladding. The two main facades of the building have wood in print in exterior cladding of natural color.
The choice of energy-saving solutions and the need for maintenance-free materials led to the development of systems with double-sided breathable shell.
The flat surface of the elevation becomes more playful with the formation of the opening in a free, horizontal and vertical arrangement and the use of color around the frames.
